Global Warming Solutions, by Oliver Clubb with design by Brian Prendergast, is exactly what the subtitle says: “A concerned citizen’s guide to climate protection.” It doesn’t see citizens as passive bystanders while the fate of our children and grandchildren is determined by what our federal government does or doesn’t do to address the climate crisis. Rather, it sees all of us as potential agents of the great transformational changes that must take place to usher in a new era of global sustainability.

Our book, offered freely as a public service, reflects the knowledge that almost all great changes in American history have arisen from citizen movements. In the United States and many other countries, we are already seeing bold “greening” initiatives in almost every sphere of human activity - with the potential for becoming an “epidemic” of change. This book tells stories about the many ways in which citizens in both high places and low can make a real difference.
